Eine Minute für das (eine) Leben, 30.Sonntag im Jahreskreis, Adriano da Costa

Adriano aus East Timor (Indonesien) hat das Philosohiestudium erfolgreich beendet. Er befindet sich im Noviziat der Salvatorianer. Er hat ein Liederbuch geschrieben. Er möchte 2022 sein Theologiestudium beginnen.

From the Gospel of St. Mark Chapter 8:34, Jesus speaks of the conditions to be his disciples. First condition is the self-denial, second is to take the cross and the third is to follow him. Self-denial means to transform our self which is selfishness to become the selflessness self which means to serve our brothers and sisters whom we meet or we encounter in life.
Second is to take the cross. Life always faces, encounters so many problems. But Jesus says do not run away from this reality of life, but instead to face them, to embrace them and to continue journey while looking at Jesus as the solution, Who is the Savior, the Messiah, Who will save us.
The third is to follow Him. So, it is not easy simply to follow Jesus without knowing Who is Him, but better to know Him as the Savior, as the Messiah who came to the world to save us.
Today, Jesus asks to each one of us; “Whom do you think I am?” Our response will become the reference to our life as source for our life to continue our journey in this world as the disciple of Christ, as the follower of Jesus, the Savior of the world.
